The Season is All Over Boo--Hoo!!

This is the first season I have every seen. I think it was a great show and every Friday I would be so excited to watch Survivor. I would force myself not to watch it Thursday so I can be surprised by what happens on Friday. I can't wait for the next Survivor season.
By watching this show I saw how a new environment and people change you. It showed you need be physically fit, mentally and emotionally strong to be put in a situation as the survivors were.
This shows how you and your body handle situations such as being put on a island with limited things.
I thought the reunion show was great. Jeff was hilarious was talking to Russell and Russell wouldn't stop talking. When Russell said America should have part in the vote, all I could think was that this is not a political thing. he sounded like we were at an election. Also, it was great to see that Boston Rob was the first to have a Survivor baby. The dumbest move award was also funny and a smart idea.

Finale!!!

I thought the final tribal council was good. I think Sandra and Parvati gave good answers to the questions asked, but Russell either went on and on or he didn't answer what they were asking. I thought Rupert talking to Russell was hilarious. Between the looks he gave Russell and and what he was saying was so funny. I also liked how he was the only one who said sorry to Sandra because she did try and help them and then they thought it was just strategy and blew her off. If they joined with Sandra, I think things would have gone differently in the game. It was also funny how almost ever person had something to say to Russell. I think it is good Sandra won cause i was rooting for her or Russell. Mostly because Parvati was annoying. I agree on why Sandra won but i think Parvati also deserved it because she did win a lot of challenges. Russell got no votes because he betrayed everyone in a way and they are all his enemies. I would have voted for Parvati because she did deserve it. She played all aspects of the game and won many challenges.

Final Five

I really don't know who I would want to be the loved one who i would get to see. It would either be my mom, dad, or one of my sisters. I most likely would choose my mom though. I think it has a huge impact on the game. It makes them all vulnerable because everyone is thinking about how soon they will see their families again. Also, it did cause problems in Jerri's alliance. When she took the two girls instead of Russell, it caused problems between Russell and them. I think for some, it would make them too homesick but I think it would give me the strength to finish the game. I would feel homesick but i could win the money and spend it with my family.

I think it was a good decision. They all deserved to go but i think she picked the right people. I would have picked the same people. Even though I don't like Parvati that much, I still would have picked her. I would have picked them because of their loved ones emotion and because I don't trust Russell but he is good in the game.

The final three is going to be Russell, Jerri and Parvati. I think because Sandra and Colby haven't won a lot of the challenges, so I don't think they will make it to final three. Also, they are planning to get Colby out soon because he is a hero.  I think Jerri will get the most votes from the jury.

Only 6 are left

Yea, I think that Candice became a villain when she switched because she was in an alliance with Colby and Rupert and then she voted for Rupert at tribal council. She went against her alliance. I don't think it is possible to be a hero and win the game. You sometimes need to lie in this game to get ahead.

I think Parvati saw how strong Russell is in this game and thought she could get far by forming an alliance with him. Which she was right. But now she is one out of the two powerful people in the game and thinks she can rule the game without him. So, when Russell realized this he tried to break her and Danielle because if they were the last 3 they had the numbers. Russell was going to try and get far with Parvati but now he is going to try and get her out because she is too powerful.

Moral dilemna

In this game, I don't believe that you can for "real" friendships because you might be close with someone and have an alliance but it might just be to get them further in the game. You can always know when they are being truthful or just playing you. Its very difficult to vote out those you have aligned with because you played with them for so long.
Its extremely important to keep the promises you make because if you go against them then go to tribal council and they are not voted out, then there goal is now to get you out. They will show that you are not trustworthy and will align with others to get you out. If you don't keep promises, do you really think that everyone else keeps their promises?

Emotional Intelligence

Rubert has a high EQ. He is self aware. He recognized that he had a bad feeling about Russell, told his tribe and he felt better when he found out his feeling was right. Rubert got a little frustrated about the bananas and plantains but didn't stay frustrated for too long. He is self motivated because he tries his best in challenges and tries so hard to win for himself and his tribe. He displayed impulse control when he was on the pole and his feet would not fit but he hung on for dear life and tried to fix himself before he fell off. He definitely has people skills. He cheers on his tribe and when he first got on the island he introduced himself and took the time to meet everyone.

Who would you be?

With the merge, I think I would be a Hero because the Hero tribe seems stronger even though J.T was an idiot and gave the idol away. The Villain team doesn't seem as strong now because Parvarti lied to Russell when he gave her the idol and she didn't tell him she had one already. Russell is losing power and next week, he is going to try and get her out. I think I play more like Sandra then anyone because by helping the Heroes, she is changing the game.

Multiple Intelligence

Russell has strength in both Interpersonal and Bodily-Kinesthetic. Interpersonal because he is good at making alliances and is good with people. He got J.T. to think that the villains have a all girl alliance and that he was going home. J.T. thought it would be good to give him the immunity idol which was just really stupid. He is also Bodily-kinesthetic because he is good in physical challenges.

I think that Bodily-Kinesthetic is the most important intelligence area because in Survivor, you have to be good at physical challenges.

Loyalty

At first, i thought that Coach was the most trustworthy and loyal person. Yet i think you do have to lie at some points and can't tell the truth while playing this game. Its about being the last one.

Intelligence

Intelligence plays a huge role while playing this game. For example, the Villains team thought they had the voting all figured out. Russell was smart and had the immunity idol. This made them think that he will be pressed to use the idol. Instead he was smart and gave it to another tribe member and saved her. Everyone thought he would go home and it would have been except for Tyson. He voted for the girl instead of Russell like they planned. In the end, got sent home.

Intelligence is necessary to win the game because they need to come up with strategies for challenges and tribal council. Also they need logic when it comes to making alliances.

Type A and B

Russel portrays the type A personality. He always is on the move. He is extremely competitive. He will do anything to get things done even if that means jeopardizes his trust with his tribe. He even went searching for the immunity idol even though his whole tribe decided they weren't going to. He is his own leader. He will never be a follower. Russel will go far i think in the competition because of his personality type.

Courtney portrays the type B personality. She has none of the type a qualities. She not as competitive as everyone else. She doesn't get angry at anyone. She will always be a follower. She sits out challenges when they tell her too. She doesn't even try to be in the challenge and when she does she doesn't seem like she's trying as hard as the others. She is more relaxed while everyone is competitive and anxious to start the challenge. Since she is a type B personality, I think they will keep her as long as they need her and then vote her out because they can control her.

True colors and chocolate!!!

James is Gold. He is loyal to his tribe members and is a natural leader. He dislikes disobedience and that is shown a lot especially after the first puzzle game, when they got back to camp. He told everyone that one person talks, everyone else listens, especially if someone did the challenge before. He even said at the tribal council that everyone went their own way. His personality being gold affects his interaction with the other tribe members in the way that they listen to him. Only a few people have conflicts with him.
Chocolate is such a big reward because they have to eat what they can hunt and can eat coconut. The food is not that good and there is not a lot of it. So when they have a chance to eat something as great tasting as chocolate they go for it. Its a luxury for them.
Their decision to vote Tom out is just going to hurt the tribe. Yes, James is stronger but he cant walk well and his injury will not heal soon and he is risking the fact that it can get much worse than it is now. I think they should have sent James home where he can get help for his knee and keep Tom for a while. Tom can run and i think he is strong in some challenges. James will not be able to help much in challenges with his leg. The tribe is looking at how strong he was before the injury not how strong he is currently.

Defense Mechanisms

During the last episode, Russel buried the machete so it would cause problems between the tribe members. I believe Russel is using rationalization because he says he hid it so that he would have an advantage and be powerful. He is making excuses for hiding the machete. This hinders interactions between within the tribe because no one knows where it is or if someone hid it.

In this episode, I think they made the right decision putting Boston Rob in the ball to direct them. It was a good idea to sit the two girls out because I don't think they would be as strong in that challenge. The people blindfolded did a good job listening to Rob and won the challenge for the Villains.

When the Heroes got back to camp they found a clue to finding the immunity idol and Tom started to look for it. He found it and tried to be sneaky about having it and put it in his sock and that plan backfired. One of the girls saw and used it to their advantage by telling everyone he had it. They set a plan so that Tom would be forced to use it and there would be two votes for Colby. Then get Colby out. Little did they know that three of their tribe members voted Cirie and she went Goodbye. I'm really happy they got Cirie out because i think she wasn't that strong. she was strong at control some of the people but not that strong in challenges.

Heroes Vs. Villains

I think stereotyping and labels affect the way someone acts because it feels to them as if its an expectation they have to live up to and they will not be able to get rid of the label, so why try.
Boston Rob is a villain and said he tried doing the good thing and it go the best of him. He said he didn't want to be a dictator like before but he had to go back to being like he did in his season. I think because they called him a villain, he felt as if no matter what he had to act like one. Being labeled a Hero definitely puts pressure on them because they make alliances and then a better offer comes and they have to choose whether they should stay true to their alliance or become a Villain and break a alliance for another.

The hero tribe to me is failing the challenges because they can't seem to agree on a strategy for each challenge and they all try to be the hero at every challenge all at once. Like some of them said the smartest thing to do is to listen to the tribe member who went through the challenge ad won. Even if they didn't win, they should still listen because that person probably knows what they did wrong. The heroes really need to communicate better, use better strategies and they might have a chance of catching up with the villains score.

Second Impressions

The first episode changed my opinion of Courtney from when i read her biography. The first episode showed me that she is tough. Yet, i don't really think that she will go as far as i thought because when they were making camp and in the elimination challenge, i didn't think that she did much to contribute. Although in the first challenge, i think she did pretty good and showed she was strong, which the other people might think is an advantage for their team.

We judge people because sometimes we don't want to try and get to know a person. I don't believe that is the case in Survivor. I think that the survivors judge each other quickly because they don't have much time before elimination to really get to know the other survivors' strengths and weaknesses. Yet, watching the others on the episodes aired on TV could have helped some of them with their judgements.

The first episode of Survivor was pretty good, even though there were some injuries in the first challenge. I'm pretty sure I am going to like Survivor a lot. Also, Survivor is a great show to watch in psychology because it shows how you change in a different environment and without certain things with you. Later on in the show it will probably show the environment's effect on a person's mental state and how some can and cannot get through it.

First Impressions

My survivor contestant is Courtney. I think that Courtney is someone who might have advantages in Survivor. She says that she is tough both mentally and physically. She is good at gossiping which helped her in Survivor: China. She also loves history which might come in handy. I think she has a good chance of winning Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains.
